About me
I studied Electrical & Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, and I have recently graduated with distinction from the MSc in Human Computer Interaction with Ergonomics at the University College London Interaction Centre.I have worked as a software engineer and researcher on a computer-aided music tuition project at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing in Athens, Greece. I am currently working as a Research Engineer at Motorola Labs in the UK.
I have been working with Microsoft Windows since version 3.0(beta), I was experimenting with Slackware Linux v.3 when the first KDE release came out, and have recently got a Mac as my primary work machine.
I started programming with Logo back in the DOS days, and was amazed to see my drawings printed on a dot-matrix printer. I then wrote my first addressbook application in QuickBASIC, and repeatedly crashed my first C program while trying to understand pointer arithmetic. I discovered Java/JSP/XML/XSL/etc. when it was still up-and-coming and have worked in major projects using Microsoft & Borland C++ on Windows. My latest fascination is writing Mac applications.
I can also say "Hello World" in English, Greek and French. I grew up in Athens, Greece and after travelling a lot around Europe I'm now based in London in the UK.
